Let’s Talk About Intune Mobile Device Management

Managing devices remotely has become an essential part of modern IT support, and Microsoft Intune, combined with Phambili Technologies’ best cloud solutions, makes this seamless. Let’s look at how we use Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) to support one of our clients in the Free State.

Our client relies on us to ensure their devices meet company policies, remain secure, and stay compliant. Through Intune, we manage these tasks remotely, including enforcing company rules, running scheduled antivirus scans, and more—all powered by the reliability and scalability of our cloud solutions.

But here’s the real question: What happens if this client purchases a new laptop that needs to meet the company’s security and compliance standards? Would we need to travel to the Free State to set it up?

The answer is simple: no travel is needed.

We’ve configured a system called Auto Enrolment, which requires Windows 10 or Windows 11 Pro as prerequisites. This system leverages the Out-of-the-Box Experience (OOBE), allowing us to streamline the setup process remotely through Phambili Technologies’ best cloud solutions.

Here’s how it works:

  • We create an Entra ID account (formerly known as Azure Active Directory or Azure AD) for the user on our side.
  • Once the client turns on their new laptop, they sign in using the Entra ID credentials we’ve provided.
  • During the sign-in process, the laptop automatically connects to Intune through our cloud solutions.
  • Intune then applies all the necessary company policies, security settings, and configurations.

In just a few steps, the laptop is fully set up and ready to use—without us ever needing to leave the office. This process ensures our client’s devices are secure, compliant, and operational in record time, powered by Phambili Technologies’ best cloud solutions.

With Intune Mobile Device Management and the power of Entra ID, Phambili Technologies delivers efficient, cloud-based IT support. Whether it’s enforcing policies, managing devices remotely, or setting up new hardware, Intune and our cloud solutions make it all possible.

Let’s schedule an appointment to discuss your IT needs. Do you still require an on-premise infrastructure, or is it time to transition to a hybrid environment on the path to fully moving to the cloud? If you’re in the early stages of building your company and feel uncertain about how to approach IT infrastructure and services, Phambili Technologies is here to guide you every step of the way. Let us help you lay the foundation for a successful partnership.

Contact us today to learn how we can help your business stay compliant, secure, and efficient—no matter where your team is located.
